I read this, and I know it's a cute story and I'm sure some people will read it and think "Neat! You can go camping in Central Park!" But, quite frankly, my reaction was different. I haven't even lived here that long and I remember a time when you wouldn't go more than three feet into Central Park at night. Is it too much to ask that the vast swath of dark, forrested land in the middle of the most populated city in the country be just a little dangerous? Not crazy, wilding kids dangerous - but maybe not a place you'd take the family for a sleep out?
